The exact same thing has happened many times before in the past. Fortnite was fine for a couple of seasons

I swear Pro's only complain, epic has a reason for this. Like it seems that the pros are just trying to control over epic, Like Fortnite was not initially intended to be an esports or a money based game. Epic is obviously moving the money from cash cups and tournaments to something they deem more important. Fortnite isn't for the pro's, its a casual game. The age group of fortnite has been changing alot recently with younger generations picking up the game, with the average age in my opinion (not fact based, estimate) I believe that the average age of players as of Chapter 2 Season 5 is around 10. With less and less people competing and quitting the game, epic may simply be cutting their losses, after all they are a company and they are out to make a profit. It's simple if you think about it. This is all my opinion and i'm not trying to make anyone annoyed by this or hurt, sorry if you are indeed annoyed or hurt by this. It's just my own opinion.

I tried the game out after season 2 chapter 2 when u was. It enjoying the game. I’m just grinding for lex a LOL.

I dont think the new format of the item shop is very appealing, I have bought 2 things this season, which is way less than previous sessions and none of which were skins. Maybe, just maybe, fortnite should get better skin artists, maybe connect with the community to see what skins they prefer, maybe have them vote for what they want, do artist competitions, because I have seen a lot of twitter artist design much better looking skins than the ones in the shop that i wouldn't resist but to buy if they were in the shop! Since epic/fortnite relies so heavily on consumers from the shop, according to podcasts that ive heard on the topic, I believe that there is a lack in the marketing team, and I think covid forcing them to work from home may have a significant affect on this, the game itself has gone to shit since covid.

Another pro that can’t adapt to the fast paced game that people keep evolving in there’s always gonna be new players that get better every game has this look at cod every couple years a new group come in and make pros question if there good enuff that’s why I like scump formal the old optic team that still to this day are insane

I loved Fortnite for 3 years, I saw the game at its best and its worst I watched almost all the competitive that there was to be watched all the streamers etc. All the “pro players” that complain about prize pools are really starting to annoy me. Epic is a shitty company I agree but at the end of the day it’s a business and they’re looking to turn a profit. Just because you were all making way more than you should’ve with epic’s initial inflated prize pools does not mean that you’re entitled to the same amount year after year. Also not once in the video did zayt mention prize pool as a reason for quitting. Zayt cited that the game was no longer fun and he wasn’t getting anything from getting better anymore. If you’re one of the 15 year olds that thought that this could be your career and you could just give up on school or other opportunities I’m sorry but you might’ve misjudged, and that’s not epic games fault you had to make that decision and now that epic is making changes you will too.

Investing more money into Fornite won't fix anything. If people are only playing the game to win money, but will easily leave the game when no more money is offered, Fortnite will die and there's nothing to be done about it. Fortnite focusing on competitive was the worst decision for them, and the reason why so many players like myself left the game. Fortnite is the hardest game to compete in by far, and right now to most unfriendly game towards new players.
